Footwear Design / Development
Working for Bata, one of the world’s leading shoemakers, has enabled me to travel the world and design footwear sold across six continents. Starting as a design intern, to now leading the sports brand Power Athletics, I have had the unique opportunity to generate designs for multiple labels, work with overseas suppliers and connect with buyers from across the globe. These experiences have enabled me to develop a holistic view of the footwear design and development process for a wide range of global consumers. Featured below are excerpts of my process and work while at Power.

Reviving Classics
Working within a company with a rich sports history has allowed me to dive into the archives and revisit concepts from the past. From lifestyle icons like Kurt Cobain to the basketball legends Magic Johnson and John Wooden; Bata has connected with iconic figures and consumers alike to perform and express oneself through footwear.
Working closely with buyers within Latin America, I helped leverage an extremely nostalgic piece of footwear for the region to connect with consumers and offer a classic vulcanized style in a contemporary setting.
